Stress and stress management through acupuncture can be very beneficial. A lot of people who undergo a course of acupuncture often comment on the feelings of relaxation after a treatment. This combined with the scope to talk through issues in a non judgmental confidential environment just adds to the therapeutic experience. Many acupuncturists like myself, also have access to other aids and tapes which have found to be useful.

People come for treatment of many different reasons, as people today want to take more responsibility for their own health. So another reason is as a preventative measure. There is a saying that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. It is with this thinking some people have a short course of treatment to redress any potential health issues, then just return four or five times a year for a seasonal check up, sometimes with these check ups no additional treatment is required so no charge is occurred. Yet they have a reassurance all is well. Another proven benefit of regular treatment is a great resistance to everyday stresses and colds. Also if illness should strike patients who are undergoing acupuncture tend to have a faster rehabilitation time following surgery or similar procedures.

It is difficult to be comprehensive in such a short space so I would strongly recommend that if you want to know about treatment for a specific ailment, please contact me for a free consultation to see if Acupuncture is suitable for you.
